Volunteer and Support the Dharma Through Service

Every meditation session, class, teaching, retreat, and community gathering at Dekeling Community is made possible through the generosity of volunteers. Offering your time, skills, and care is a meaningful way to practice generosity (dāna), cultivate the bodhisattva path, and help create the conditions for the Dharma to flourish.

Whether you have a few hours each month or would like to take on an ongoing role, there is a place for you. Volunteering is also a wonderful way to get to know fellow practitioners, develop new skills, and deepen your connection with the sangha.

You do not need to be an expert to volunteer. Many roles include training and mentoring, and we welcome volunteers of all experience levels. Click on the + to learn more about each. And email volunteer@dekeling.community with your interest and your questions

Ways to Serve

Finding the Right Place to Serve

You don't need to know exactly where you'd like to help before volunteering. Tell us a little about your interests, experience, and availability, and we'll help you find a team that's a good fit. You can email volunteer@dekeling.community to let us know!

Some volunteers enjoy hands-on projects, while others prefer behind-the-scenes administrative work. Some serve regularly, while others help during special events or seasonal activities. Every offering of time and energy contributes to the strength of our community.

Join Our Volunteer Community

If you would like to volunteer, we'd love to hear from you.

Please contact us directly at volunteer@dekeling.community, and a volunteer coordinator will be in touch to answer your questions, introduce you to others, and help you get started.

Thank you for supporting Dekeling Community through the practice of generous service. Together, we create the conditions for the Dharma to benefit many beings.

“Animated with bodhicitta, all ordinary activity, all works in the world become a path to awakening.”

~Bokar Rinpoche, Chenrezig, Lord of Love
