Long Chenrezig: Instruction and Chanting in Tibetan

In-Person Only.

Saturday, May 23
9:00 AM - Noon

Chenrezig — Avalokiteśvara in Sanskrit — is the bodhisattva of compassion and a central practice in Tibetan Buddhism. The Long Chenrezig weaves together mantra, mudra, aspiration prayers, and visualization into a full session of practice. Chanting the liturgy together in Tibetan — even when the words are unfamiliar — connects practitioners to centuries of  tradition and lineage. No empowerment is required. Instruction will be provided, and a music recording will be shared and will guide the chant throughout the morning.

You will need to pick up a text from the Vicarage before this event. Texts are sold for $20, the price we paid for them, and are limited (15).

This practice will be done in India at the Mahamudra Seminar, daily.

Location: The Vicarage, Portland | Address provided upon registration.
Contribution: Sliding scale offering $35 / $50 / $65. Plus the cost of a text if you choose to buy one. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
