Turning the Mind to the Dharma is a four-part contemplation that is often considered just a preliminary, but it turns out to be the foundation of fruitful meditation practice. When we contemplate precious human life, the truth of impermanence, the inevitability of karma, and the faults of samsara, we see more deeply the nature of our life, aspire to make our life meaningful, and turn the mind toward the genuine refuge of the Three Jewels. This four evening series will explore traditional contemplations and explore ways we can adapt them to their own lives. This series is suitable for all levels of practitioners, from total beginners to lifelong meditators. The Four Thoughts always inspire motivation and insight.
