Washing and dressing the body of someone you love is an act of profound care. It is also a skill — and like most skills, it is easier when you have been taught.
This session offers hands-on guidance (for those who can attend in person) and clear Zoom instruction for those at a distance. We will cover:
Working with rigor mortis — timing, technique, and what to expect
Washing and dressing the body with dignity and care
Managing other natural changes in the body after death
Temporary preservation methods for home vigil
Preparing the body for viewing or further transition
The in-person option for hands-on training will be announced based on location and participant need. Lama Lekshe will provide guidance on what materials to have on hand for those participating from home.
