Monsters Under the Bed

Online Only

4 Thursdays, Oct 1, 8, 15, 22
6:30 - 8:30PM PST

Led by George Draffan

Despite our intelligence and best intentions, we often find ourselves in difficult situations. How do our images of self and other lead to confusion and conflict? Where do unintended habitual emotional reactions come from? Are we born with a certain character and circumstance, and that’s our fate? Let’s explore how we create the world we live in, and how it’s possible to see more clearly and act more intentionally. Topics to be explored include karma, kleshas, the six realms of samsara, and the three turnings of antidote, recognize, transform. This four evening series will draw on traditional models of karma and samsara and from the contemplations meditations in “Wake Up to Your Life” by Ken McLeod.
